Woodney Contracting is a family-run arborist, fencing and groundworks business based in Hamilton. Owner Liam Woodney has more than 10 years of arborist and working-at-height experience, and fencing runs in the family. Together the crew looks after the trees, boundaries and groundwork on properties across the Waikato, so you deal with one local team rather than three.
From ropes and safety to trees and fences
Liam's route into the trade started with ropes and safety work guiding tours through the Waitomo caves. He went on to work as an arborist in New Mexico, then back home as an arborist and later a distribution line mechanic with WEL Networks, on large projects where there is no room for error. Fencing was always close by, with his father and brother in the trade. Woodney Contracting brings it all together.
