Done for you

The machine and the operator, sorted

You don't need to hire a digger or work out how to run it. We turn up with the right machine and an experienced operator, work safely and carefully around underground services, and leave the site tidy. And because we're also certified arborists and fencing contractors, we can clear trees and vegetation or prep fence lines and post holes on the same visit.

FAQs

Excavation & earthworks questions

01Do you hire out the digger, or do you do the work?

We do the work for you. We bring the machine and an experienced operator and complete the job, so you don't need to hire equipment or run anything yourself.

02What excavation and earthworks do you do?

Digger work and excavation, site clearing and preparation, levelling and bulk earthworks, trenching for water, power and drainage, driveways and culverts, and general groundwork across Hamilton and the greater Waikato.

03Do you trench for water pipes and power cables?

Yes. We dig trenches for water lines, power and electrical cables, and drainage, to the depth and fall the job needs, then backfill and tidy once the lines are laid.

04How deep do you dig trenches for water and power?

We dig to the depth and cover the service being laid calls for. Water lines, drainage and electrical cables each have their own recommended depth, so we set it to suit the job and any network or council requirements, then backfill and compact.

05Can you dig post holes and prepare fence lines?

Yes. Because we're also fencing contractors, we can clear and prepare fence lines and dig post holes as part of the same job, so your groundwork and fencing are handled by one local team.

06Can you clear a section or site ready to build?

We can. We clear vegetation, spoil and debris and prepare sites and sections so they're ready for the next stage of your project.

07Do you do driveways, culverts and drainage?

We do. We excavate and prepare for driveways, install culverts, and trench for drainage to move water away from buildings, driveways and low spots on your property.

08Will you locate underground services first?

Safety comes first. We work carefully around existing services and recommend having underground utilities located before we dig, especially near power and water.

09Do you take on small residential jobs as well as bigger sites?

Yes. From a single trench or a small section clear at a Hamilton home to bulk earthworks on a lifestyle block or rural property, we take on jobs of all sizes across the Waikato.

10How much does excavation and earthworks cost?

We price this work on a charge-out basis, so what you pay reflects the machine, operator and time the job actually takes, plus any materials or cartage. Get in touch and we'll talk you through our pricing.

11What areas do you cover?

We provide excavation and earthworks throughout the greater Waikato, including Hamilton, Cambridge, Te Awamutu, Morrinsville, Ngāruawāhia, Huntly and surrounding districts.
